Well, there goes the budget! Sort of… but I have the first solid piece of my itinerary!
After being highly recommended by my colleague and friend Matt, another colleague and friend Alex and I have booked a three week trek in Nepal! Something called the “Three Passes” trekking through Kongma La, Cho La, and Renjo La.
$1550 for the trek, plus airfare to Kathmandu (€330) is not exactly a budget trip. At around $100/day, it’s just about 2x my overall goal of $50/350 nok per day.
But I am super excited! Not only for the trek, but also to have something actually booked and a starting point to build other plans around. For example, getting to Kathmandu cheaply made Turkey a natural choice to visit before as the flight was much cheaper than from Morocco, Israel, or Jordan.
